In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
🌿 Alhamdulillah: Progress After Decades of Delay
After 34 long years of delay, obstruction, and deprivation, the estate of our late father, Zulkarnaini Gambari Mohammed, has finally begun moving toward proper Islamic distribution (Fara’id).
While the inheritance has not yet been fully distributed, we are deeply encouraged by the meaningful progress made through the courage, wisdom, and principled guidance of leaders committed to justice and Sharia compliance.
🌟 Honoring Pioneering Voices
At the forefront of this journey is the memory of the Late Dr. Muhammad Ali Olukade (may Allah have mercy on him)—esteemed Medical Doctor, Islamic Scholar, and Community Servant. His courageous public inquiry to the 11th Emir of Ilorin, nearly fifteen years after our father’s passing, was pivotal in highlighting decades of delay.
“Dr. Olukade’s life of humility, service, and compassion continues to inspire and guide our community. May Allah reward his good deeds and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus.”
We also honor:
• The late Hon. Justice Mustapha Akanbi (may Allah grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus) – an unwavering beacon of integrity and justice.
• The late former Grand Khadi Abdulkadir Orire (may Allah have mercy on him and grant him Al-Jannah) – whose principled stand continues to inspire righteousness.
🤝 Recognizing Contemporary Leadership
We are profoundly grateful to the distinguished leaders who have actively steered the process toward fair and Sharia-compliant resolution:
- Dr. Usman Abubakar Jos, The Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate – Distinguished kingmaker and committee head, whose dedication and tireless pursuit of justice have been exemplary.
- Former Grand Khadi, Justice S.O. Mohammed – We acknowledge his contributions, which, despite earlier challenges, have now supported the equitable resolution of this matter.
- His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto – Spiritual leader whose moral authority and emphasis on Islamic inheritance principles have guided all involved.
- Alhaji Bashir Dalhatu, Wazirin Dutse – Chairman of the Arewa Consultative Forum’s Board of Trustees, whose wisdom, personal engagement, and principled involvement have been invaluable.
- Alhaji Abdulmumuni, President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) — the foremost socio-cultural organization representing indigenes and descendants of the Ilorin Emirate both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
- Dr. Dahiru Moyi – Energy, Power, and Oil & Gas Advisor; esteemed member of the Sultanate of Sokoto Traditional Council, whose support has strengthened the path to justice.
- Engr. Hussaini Tahir – Former Group General Manager (GGM), Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC); Santuraki Adamawa, reinforcing fairness and adherence to Sharia law.
- Alhaji Muhammad Murtala Saleh – Retired Director, Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, whose guidance has been instrumental.
- Mr. Hillary Okoronkwo, Managing Partner of MH Business Solutions – a dear friend whose steadfast personal support, encouragement, and solidarity throughout this long and challenging journey have been a true blessing and source of strength to me and the family. We thank him profoundly from the heart.
- Hajia Muinat Bola Shagaya (MON), Sarauniya of Ilorin Emirate and founder/CEO of Bolmus Group International, and a prominent community leader/philanthropist.
These noble leaders and friends are true blessings to their communities and exemplify courage, piety, and steadfast dedication to Allah’s commands on inheritance.
🤲 A Prayer and Commitment to Justice
We pray that Allah:
- Rewards them abundantly and accepts their good deeds.
- Extends mercy to our late brother, the late Dr. Olukade, and all who passed without receiving their rightful shares.
- Unites the heirs in sincere brotherhood, removes remaining obstacles, and continues to bless the Ilorin Emirate, Sultanate of Sokoto, Adamawa Emirate, Dutse Emirate, and the entire Arewa region with peace, justice, and steadfast adherence to Islamic teachings.
Their efforts, even amid resistance, have brought us closer to a fair, complete, and fully Sharia-compliant distribution of the estate — offering renewed hope and reassurance to all rightful heirs.
Jazakumullahu khairan
For your leadership, personal support, and unwavering advocacy.
Wa Alaikum Assalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
